Controlled Age- Dependent Population Dynamics Based on Parity Progression

چکیده

The “age-dependent parity progression model” is intended to describe the birth process of females by introducing the age distribution density of women who have a given birth order (number of births) and the ageparity-specific fertility. The idea of population dynamics based on parity progression can be traced back to Henry [I], and later Whelpton [2] and Feeney [3]. The advantage of this model as compared to the macroscopic McKendrick population model (see, for example, Song and Yu [4]) is the introduction of the birth control strategy of a given parity instead of that for age-speciiic fertility and providing of a framework for integrating microlevel birth analysis into macro-level studies of fertility and population growth trends. Furthermore, similar ideas such as the establishing of the parity female ratio model can be used conveniently in population forecasting, see Han [S] for details.

Age-dependent Population Dynamics Based on Parity Interval Progression

A controlled age-dependent population equation based on the parity interval progression is developed. The asymptotic properties for the stationary case are studied by investigating the spectrum of the corresponding population operator in the semigroup framework.

The Effects of Population Growth on Quantitative Indices of Education in Iran: The Prospects of Student Population up to 2030

The Effects of Population Growth on Quantitative Indices of Education in Iran: The Prospects of Student Population up to 2030 M. Amiri In recent years, population experts have started to add the “level of education” as a variable to their demographic analyses. To analyze the dynamics of the student population and its prospects for the next 15 years, factors such as number ...

A parity-structured Leslie matrix model for tsetse populations

A nonnegative vector is used to describe a population of female tsetse flies in different developmental stages. A first set of components represents the pupal population by age (in days). The remaining components contain the adult population structured by parity and numbers of days spent in each parity. The dynamics of the population are then described by a parity-structured Leslie matrix with ...

An assessment of recent Iranian fertility trends using parity progression ratios

BACKGROUND In 2013 a draft population bill was introduced in the Iranian Parliament. Based on the presumption that fertility in Iran had fallen to a very low level, the bill proposed a wide range of pronatalist policies with the aim of increasing fertility to 2.5 births per woman. The draft law called for restrictions on the employment of women and young single people and inducements for women ...

Demographic modeling of transient amplifying cell population growth.

Quantitative measurement for the timings of cell division and death with the application of mathematical models is a standard way to estimate kinetic parameters of cellular proliferation. On the basis of label-based measurement data, several quantitative mathematical models describing short-term dynamics of transient cellular proliferation have been proposed and extensively studied. In the pres...
